Patrick Peterson looking forward to facing Michael Crabtree

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson expects a touch matchup against San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

Patrick Peterson has said that facing Michael Crabtree will make him play at his best this weekend.

The Arizona Cardinals cornerback will likely cover the wide receiver when they face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

The 23-year-old told reporters: "It's always a big-time game every time I get the opportunity to match up with him because I know he is going to bring his best, and that's the same thing I do as well. I'm a competitive cornerback and he's a competitive wide receiver.

"He's slowly getting back in the groove [since rupturing his Achilles]. He didn't look as comfortable as he did when he was healthy. He doesn't have blazing speed, but he does have exceptional speed. Elusive, especially after the catch."

Crabtree has 255 receiving yards and a touchdown since returning from injury four games ago.
