Russia's Maxim Trankov not thinking about retirement

Russia's Maxim Trankov says that he and his skating partner Tatiana Volosozhar plan to continue competing for the foreseeable future.

Maxim Trankov has said that he and his skating partner Tatiana Volosozhar have not thought about quitting the sport.

The duo won the gold medal for Russia in the pairs figure skating event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi on Wednesday.

"Honestly, we haven't thought about it yet," the 30-year-old told Russia Today.

"We had a very important season, so we were completely focused on it - on the today and now."

Trankov also won gold in the team figure skating event in Sochi on Sunday.
