British number one Andy Murray has been seeded third for Wimbledon, meaning that he could face either Novak Djokovic or Roger Federer in the semi-finals.

The Scotsman, who became only the second Brit in history to win the men's singles Wimbledon title in 2013, has been slotted behind reigning champion Djokovic and second seed Federer.

Rafael Nadal, who has struggled for consistency this season due to injuries, has dropped to 10th in the list, which means that the Spaniard could go head to head with one of the tournament favourites in the last 16.

World number one Serena Williams has been named the top seed on the women's side as she bids to claim a sixth Wimbledon title.

Last year's champion Petra Kvitova has been seeded second, while Simona Halep is third and 2004 champion Maria Sharapova is fourth.

The Grand Slam will get underway on June 29.
