Jelena Jankovic cruises into round three

Jelena Jankovic breezes into the third round of the Australian Open, defeating Ayumi Morita in straight sets.

Serbian eighth-seed Jelena Jankovic has brushed aside Ayumi Morita in the second round of the Australian Open with a 6-2 6-0 win.

It was actually the perfect start for Morita, who managed to break the Serb in the very first game of the match, but she was unable to consolidate it as Jankovic broke right back.

For a while it went with serve as both women were effective with the balls in hand, but in the sixth Jankovic upped her game and managed two breaks to in the end take the first set comfortably.

The second set was closer than the 6-0 suggested, but Jankovic did just enough on the key points to wrap up the win in just under an hour.
