Andy Murray beats Kevin Anderson to win fourth Queen's Club title

British number one Andy Murray wins a record-equalling fourth Queen's title after defeating Kevin Anderson 6-3 6-4 in the tournament final.

Andy Murray has claimed a record-equalling fourth Queen's Club title as he made light work of Kevin Anderson in the final, cruising to a 6-3 6-4 win in little over an hour.

The British number one claimed the advantage early on in the first set when he broke his opponent in the fourth game, the South African sending the ball into the net to put Murray 3-1 up.

Murray duly hung on and secured the set in style with a sliced backhand that dropped on the line, leaving Anderson stranded.

The second set saw the Scot break once again, this time in the fifth game, following a lengthy rally that was ultimately settled by a drop shot that the stretched Anderson couldn't get to.

Murray, who played his rescheduled semi-final against Viktor Troicki earlier in the day, ultimately made light work of his beleaguered opponent, winning the second set and the title with an out-swinging first serve.

Murray joins the likes of John McEnroe and Boris Becker as a four-time Queen's Club champion with Sunday afternoon's victory, as Wimbledon's start date of June 29 edges ever closer.
