Heather Watson has suffered a straight-sets defeat to Svetlana Kuznetsova in the second round at Roland Garros.
The British number two held serve on just two occasions as she succumbed to a 6-1 6-3 loss to the 13th seed.

Kuznetsova, who won the tournament in 2009, breezed through the opening set as Watson struggled on serve, but the Guernsey hitter struck at the start of the second to suggest that she was capable of producing a comeback similar to the one seen in her opening win over Nicole Gibbs.
However, although she won a couple of games behind her own delivery, she could not find a second break and Kuznetsova was able to serve out the contest with minimal fuss to earn a place in the last 32.
