Agnieszka Radwanska "very happy" with first-round win

Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska says that she is "very happy" with her straight-sets win in the first round at the Australian Open.

Agnieszka Radwanska has said that she is "very happy" with her performance in the first round of this year's Australian Open.

The sixth seed eased into the second round with a 6-3 6-0 win over Japan's Kurumi Nara earlier, setting up a match against Johanna Larsson of Sweden.

The Polish player told reporters: "I think I really played well today. Maybe little bit slow start. Otherwise I think everything was working for me today. Very happy [with] my game.

"I don't know [why I started slowly]. I think couple things. Different court, first match. And just different [feeling] the ball. I just need, I guess, a few games to really play my game.

"I was really trying play aggressive, go down the lines. I think I was also serving good. I think the key also was the beginning of the second set, first tight games, and then I was able to break twice."

Radwanska reached the semi-finals in Australia for the first time last year.
