Team England's Adam Peaty: 'I just want to relax and have fun'

Adam Peaty says that he just wants to "relax and have fun" after qualifying for the 50m breaststroke final at Glasgow 2014.

Commonwealth champion Adam Peaty has suggested that the pressure is off his shoulders for the final two days of swimming at Glasgow 2014.

The 19-year-old Team England star, who won gold in last night's 100m breaststroke final, earned his spot in the 50m final by winning tonight's second semi-final.

"My main focus now is just having fun and relaxing," Peaty told reporters. "My 50m is an add-on event anyway. It's not an Olympic event, so I might as well just go out there and show the world what I can do."

Peaty held the Commonwealth record before tonight's semi-finals, but his time was beaten by South Africa's Cameron Van der Burgh, who won his semi in 26.80 seconds.
