Fran Halsall "happy" with best time of season in 100m freestyle

Fran Halsall tells Sports Mole that she is "happy" with swimming her best time of the season in the 100m freestyle final.

England star Fran Halsall is pleased to have swam her best time of the season, despite failing to medal in the 100m freestyle final at Tollcross this evening.

The 24-year-old finished fourth behind Australia's Cate and Bronte Campbell and Emma McKeon, who won gold, silver and bronze respectively.

Halsall, who has won two golds and a silver in Glasgow, posted a time of 53.99s.

"[I feel] good," Halsall told Sports Mole. "It was the best time of the season, so I'm happy with that."

On the penultimate day of swimming, England have 24 medals.
