Harlequins beat Saracens 19-24 to increase their lead atop the Aviva Premiership.

Harlequins have beaten Saracens 19-24 to increase their lead at the top of the Aviva Premiership this afternoon.

Jordan Turner-Hall handed Quins the lead when he crossed over, setting up Nick Evans for his first conversion of the game.

The hosts struck back through opposite number Owen Farrell, who fired three penalties between the posts in the space of eight minutes to move his side in front.

Center George Lowe continued the trend as he crossed over to score another five points for the visitors and retake their lead at the break, despite another late three points from Farrell.

Quins substitute Rory Clegg responded in kind after the restart to re-establish their one-try lead.

Just shy of the hour, scrum-half Danny Care added another try to the road team's tally and set up Clegg to increase their lead to 12 points.

With ten minutes to go, Saracens substitute Richard Wigglesworth crossed over after Quins were reduced to 14 men. Farrell's ensuing conversion reduced the gap to four points, but the visitors held on.
