Gareth Delve has been called up to Wales's World Cup training camp in Poland.
The Melbourne Rebels back-row had expected to miss the national side's two visits to Spala, but has now returned from Australia and is free to join the camp.
"I've got a few days to try and impress the big man (coach Warren Gatland), so can hopefully still make the cut," said Delve.
"I've missed the last couple of World Cups through injuries so this is a huge opportunity for me," he added.
The World Cup kicks off on September 9, when New Zealand take on Tonga in Auckland.
