Report: Brad Barritt to earn England recall for Scotland clash

Saracens centre Brad Barritt is to be recalled to the England side in place of Luther Burrell for the key Six Nations match against Scotland, according to a report.

England head coach Stuart Lancaster is reportedly planning to recall centre Brad Barritt for next week's Six Nations meeting with Scotland at Twickenham.

The 28-year-old, who has sat out the Red Rose's opening three games of the campaign, will feature for club side Saracens against Wasps this afternoon.

Should he come through that match unscathed, The Telegraph understands that he will make a return to the international scene for the first time since injuring his calf against Australia last autumn.

Barritt has featured in Saracens' last three games, and it is claimed that he will replace inside-centre Luther Burrell, who has seen his place come under increasing threat following the disappointing 19-9 defeat against leaders Ireland last time out.
