British comedian Russell Brand has reportedly tried to contact a host of West Ham United players to take in a yoga session.

The 37-year-old, who is a well-known West Ham fan, is believed to have called on the likes of Kevin Nolan, James Tomkins and Andy Carroll to join him in London to take part in the fitness regime.

"Russ has been in contact with Tomkins, Nolan and Carroll asking if he can join them on their weekly yoga practice next time he's home," a source said, according to the Daily Star. "He's trying to get back for the West Ham vs Chelsea match next month, although it's looking unlikely."

Meanwhile, the Hammers are preparing to take on Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
