Rugby player Ian Gough found guilty of assaulting ex-girlfriend

Former Wales rugby international Ian Gough is found guilty of assaulting ex-girlfriend Sophia Cahill.

Former Wales rugby international Ian Gough has been found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend at her home earlier this year.

The Newport Gwent Dragons lock is said to have shoved former Miss Wales Sophia Cahill while dropping their son off at her house in London in January.

The model, who is now engaged to former Another Level singer Dane Bowers, told Croydon Magistrates that the 37-year-old pushed her into the passenger door of his VW campervan, aggravating injuries that she had suffered in a car crash a week earlier.

Gough denied her accusations, but was found guilty by the court.
