Phil Neville left red-faced by embarrassing Twitter slip-up

Phil Neville is caught out by a Spanish tweet sent to over one million followers.

Former Manchester United and Everton defender Phil Neville has been ridiculed after sending a tweet to his one million followers that was horribly translated.

The 38-year-old, who was appointed as assistant manager of Valencia earlier this month, was left red-faced when attempting to communicate in Spanish via the social network site.

Neville tweeted that he had been on an early-morning run across the beach, but the word "run" has a double definition when translated into Spanish - also meaning "ejaculation".

The tweet was soon deleted, but only after the error had been pounced on by eagled-eyed Twitter users.

Neville spent one season in a coaching role at Old Trafford, but he left at the end of the 2013-14 season following a disappointing campaign.
