Magazine marks Boston Marathon bombing anniversary

Sports Illustrated commemorates the one-year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings.

American magazine Sports Illustrated has marked the anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings with a commemorative cover.

Three thousand residents of the city, including the mayor, runners and members of the emergency services, feature in the picture to mark one year since the event, which killed three people and injured over 200 others.

The 2014 race is due to take place on Monday.
