Ex-Chelsea star Marcel Desailly 'under investigation by French tax authorities'

Former Chelsea star Marcel Desailly is reportedly being looked into by the French tax authorities.

Former Chelsea star Marcel Desailly is reportedly under investigation by the French tax authorities regarding assets at Swiss bank UBS.

The 45-year-old is said to be part of an inquiry which was confirmed by the Swiss government after they contacted the French authorities regarding a specific branch.

According to the Daily Star, it is not yet known if Desailly is suspected of any wrongdoing or is just being looked into as part of a regular inquiry.

Former France internationals Patrick Vieira and Claude Makelele have previously been involved in similar cases.
