Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has his voice recording from the city's tram service removed.

Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini's voice recording has been deleted from Manchester's Metrolink tram service.

The Italian recorded a message to passengers stopping at the Etihad Stadium on the tram route, along with goalkeeper Joe Hart, captain Vincent Kompany and midfielder James Milner.

However, following Mancini's sacking by the former Premier League champions, the Italian's voice has since been removed.

"Following Roberto Mancini's departure from the club last week, we have taken his clip off the match day stop announcements," the Daily Mail quotes a spokesman for Transport for Greater Manchester as saying. "We have not yet had any discussions with Manchester City about recording a replacement."

Meanwhile, widespread reports have indicated that Manuel Pellegrini will take the reins at the Etihad following his exit from Malaga.
