Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed that he is writing a TV comedy show.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed that he is in the process of writing a TV show.

The England international, who is closing in on a return to action after spending six weeks out injured, has opened up about his ventures away from football.

The 26-year-old, who has also revealed that he wants to eventually create his own fashion line, is hoping to get a team of writers together for his show.

In an interview with the Daily Star, Sturridge said: "I want to write a TV show and I'm in the process of doing that at the moment.

"If I can find the right writers to help me to do that I will get it off the ground. It will be a bit of comedy, bit of drama, all of those things. I want that to work out."

Sturridge could feature in Saturday's Premier League match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
