A report claims that Liverpool will stay in Europe during pre-season this year for the first time in a decade, despite lucrative offers to play around the world.

Liverpool reportedly intend to reject lucrative offers to travel the world during pre-season as they want to remain in Europe.

The Reds, on the brink of a first ever Premier League title, have embarked on tours of America, Asia and Australia over the past decade.

According to The Athletic, however, for the first time in 10 years they intend to stay on the continent as part of their preparations for 2020-21.

Jurgen Klopp is said to have requested that his side are kept closer to home in the hope of maximising their chances of retaining the title next season.

A number of Liverpool players will be involved in Euro 2020 and Copa America action this summer, while the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place next January and February.
