Lifestyle coach 'steals £80,000 from Premier League footballers'

A 'lifestyle coach' stole more than £80,000 from Premier League footballers and her wealthy clients, a court hears.

A number of Premier League footballers have been scammed by a 'lifestyle coach', who allegedly stole more than £80,000 from her clients.

Claire Duke, who created business Solutions Lifestyle, admitted to seven counts of fraud at Stafford Crown Court on Tuesday.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom and Stoke City striker Peter Odemwingie were among the footballers to have fallen victim to the businesswoman.

The court heard that Duke advertised flights and hotels at discount prices for her clients, but would pocket the money for herself, leaving the players and their families to turn up to their destination and discover that their hotel had not been paid for.

The 38-year-old raked in £82,561.79 from six of her clients between April 2012 and July last year - £15,000 of which was stolen from Odemwingie after the accused allegedly obtained his bank details.

The court also heard that Duke charged former Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray more than £30,000 to stay at a hotel in Dubai.
