ITV presenter Adrian Chiles has spoken of his "man-love" for Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard by telling a story of a young fan who wanted a picture with the midfielder.
Chiles, who anchors ITV's football coverage, wrote in the Radio Times that his friend's nephew asked for a photo alongside Gerrard when he met the Liverpool star on Merseyside a few years ago.
After discovering that the young boy's phone wasn't working to take the picture, Gerrard insisted that he would use his own phone for the snap and send it via his friend to Chiles in order to get the photo to the youngster.
Chiles wrote: "How many photos do you think Steven's been asked for in his time? And yet he went to that trouble. The lad got his photo. Steven's plan came together."
Gerrard is in Brazil with the rest of his England teammates preparing for Saturday's World Cup Group D opener against Italy.
