Crystal Palace's cheerleaders are banned from performing at Wembley for the Championship playoff final.

Crystal Palace's cheerleaders have been banned from performing at the playoff final at Wembley due to fears of favouritism.

The Crystals were hopeful of giving their backing to the Championship side as they prepare to take on Watford for the final Premier League promotion place.

"We are of course disappointed not to be able to dance but it was always going to be a long shot," the Daily Mail quotes Crystals head coach Bronia Gosling as saying.

"As it is neutral ground it would be seen as favouritism towards Crystal Palace. We would love the opportunity one day though. The girls and I will of course be going to Wembley to support the team so come on you Eagles."

The cheerleaders planned to dance on the Wembley pitch before kickoff.
