Chelsea, Millwall fans voted worst in London

Chelsea and Millwall supporters are named the worst in London in a YouGov poll.

Supporters of Chelsea and Millwall have been voted the worst football fans in London, according to researchers YouGov.

The researchers asked Londoners their opinions on fans of the 10 clubs from the city that play in the Premier League and Championship, as well as League One's Leyton Orient, in the wake of the racism incident involving Chelsea supporters in Paris last month.

The findings revealed that 45% of Londoners who have encountered Millwall fans were left with a negative impression, with 43% saying the same about Chelsea supporters.

Only 7% said that they had a positive impression of Lions supporters, while just 13% had a positive opinion of Chelsea fans.

Just 8% of those asked had a negative view of Brentford fans, while Arsenal were the most favourably viewed, with 33% saying they had a positive impression of Gunners supporters.
