Lewis Hamilton joins Thierry Henry, Robert Pires in five-a-side match

F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton plays alongside Arsenal legends Robert Pires and Sol Campbell in a five-a-side game against a team captained by Thierry Henry.

Reigning Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton switched sports for an afternoon by competing in a five-a-side football match with Arsenal legends Thierry Henry and Robert Pires.

The Mercedes F1 driver, who is a lifelong Arsenal supporter, captained a team made up of ex-Gunners, including Sol Campbell, Ray Parlour and Pires.

Soccer AM's Tubes also joined the team, while Henry captained his fellow Sky Sports pundits Jamie Carragher, Paul Merson and Jamie Redknapp, while former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini also played.

Hamilton later told Sky Sports News: "It was great - my heart was racing quite a lot throughout the whole thing.

"It was so much fun getting to play with all these guys on the pitch after you've been watching them for so many years, it was very surreal."

The Sky Sports team beat the Arsenal legends in a penalty shootout after the match ended in a 5-5 draw.
