American punk band Green Day are to perform at the Emirates Stadium next summer.

The 'American Idiot' rockers come to the Emirates on June 1, following Coldplay's successful three-night sell-out of the home of the Gunners this summer.

"We are delighted to have attracted Green Day to Emirates Stadium," said Arsenal's marketing director, Angus Kinnear.

"The Coldplay gigs this summer were a huge success and the way the club managed the event has put us on the map as a potential concert venue."

Tickets for the gig go on sale at 9.30am on Friday, September 28.
