Lewis Hamilton saddened by Jules Bianchi death

Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton describes the death of fellow driver Jules Bianchi as a "sad, sad day".

Lewis Hamilton has described the death of fellow Formula 1 driver Jules Bianchi as a "sad, sad day".

It was announced on Saturday that 25-year-old Bianchi had passed away from the injuries that he sustained in a crash at the Japanese Grand Prix in October.

Reigning world champion Hamilton is the latest name from the sport to pay tribute to the Frenchman.

Bianchi is the first Formula 1 fatality since Ayrton Senna died at the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994.
