Jenson Button: 'McLaren have a point to prove in China'

McLaren driver Jenson Button believes that the team have a "point to prove" at the Chinese Grand Prix after clutch problems in Bahrain.

McLaren driver Jenson Button believes that the team have a "point to prove" at this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix.

Both Button and teammate Kevin Magnussen were forced to retire during the race in Bahrain last weekend due to clutch problems.

"I think we head to China with a bit of a point to prove," BBC Sport quotes Button as saying.

"We need to get some points on the board and get another race under our belts that demonstrates the pace we feel this year's car has, which won't necessarily be straightforward."

Button finished third in the Australian Grand Prix, while Magnussen clinched a spot on the podium in second place.
