Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen 'misses media commitments with illness'

Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen reportedly misses today's media commitments with an illness but is expected to compete in the Belgian Grand Prix this weekend.

Lotus Formula 1 driver Kimi Raikkonen will reportedly be absent from today's media commitments ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix due to illness.

The 2007 world champion has been at the centre of headlines in recent weeks due to his uncertain future following reports that a proposed switch to Red Bull has broken down.

Despite coming down with a bug, Lotus have stated that the Finnish driver will be fit to compete in Sunday's race, according to BBC Sport.

Raikkonen is currently second behind Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel in the drivers' standings.
