Wigan boss Roberto Martinez reveals that Hugo Rodallega and Franco Di Santo are both likely to be fit for Saturday's match against Newcastle.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that injured duo Hugo Rodallega and Franco Di Santo are both likely to feature against Newcastle United this weekend.

Rodallega has been sidelined with a knee injury since the start of March, while Di Santo picked up a calf problem during last weekend's defeat at Fulham.

"The work [Rodallega] has done over the past few days has been very positive. He is getting stronger by the day and he's well in contention for the weekend," Martinez told the Evening Post.

"The good news regarding Franco is we were able to get him off the field before he picked up a really serious injury.

"We'll assess him again on Thursday or Friday, but he is reacting well to the treatment and we remain hopeful he will be okay."

The 17th-placed Latics are currently one point above the relegation zone.
