Carlos Vela snubs West Ham United switch?

Real Sociedad and former Arsenal forward Carlos Vela rejects the chance to return to England with West Ham, according to reports.

Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela has reportedly snubbed a summer move to West Ham United.

The Hammers are thought to have activated the Mexican's £21.4m buyout clause in San Sebastien.

However, the former Arsenal man, who struggled to make his mark on English football after a glittering start to his Gunners career, turned down the move, according to The Star.

Vela, who has netted 57 goals in 158 outings for La Real, is contracted to the Liga club until 2018.

Irons boss Slaven Bilic has already signed some £15m on recruiting the likes of Dimitri Payet from Marseille and Pedro Obiang from Sampdoria.
