West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini insists that his attacking style of football will eventually flourish at the East London club.

West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that his attacking style of football will eventually flourish at the East London club.

Pellegrini's side have suffered defeats in their opening three games as the new players adapt to the Premier League, after £100m was invested into the squad in the summer.

The Hammers's third loss came at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal on Saturday despite taking the lead through Marko Arnautovic, but the Chilean is adamant that positive results will come soon and has urged fans to remain patient.

"You can never enjoy a 3-1 defeat but for the most part I think we created chances, we played as a big team and played in the opposite side [of the pitch], not just playing for a result because we played against Arsenal away," Pellegrini told reporters.

"It is a style that this team will continue to play in the future and I am absolutely sure and I hope that the fans also continue to support because the team is in the current way and we are going to win more than we lose.

"After that I think we believed that we can play in the other side [of the pitch], we don't need to play and have a good draw and just keep the result, I think the team were a little more free in the way that they played against Arsenal."

West Ham will host Wolverhampton Wanderers at the London Stadium in their next Premier League fixture on Saturday.
