Sir Geoff Hurst believes a move to the Olympic Stadium would be beneficial for West Ham.

Sir Geoff Hurst has backed West Ham's bid to move into the Olympic Stadium.

Hurst says he is "1,000%" behind the move, claiming that it would be a step in the right direction if the club want to become a "top" side.

"In the long term [moving] is far more beneficial," Hurst told BBC Sportsweek. "The future of the club, I think, should be in the Olympic Park.

"I feel strongly that is where we have got to go."

The Hammers are one of four clubs bidding for the lease of the stadium.
