West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel vows to keep club in Premier League

West Bromwich Albion boss Pepe Mel vows to keep the Baggies in the Premier League.

West Bromwich Albion manager Pepe Mel has vowed to keep the club in the Premier League this season.

The Spaniard is still searching for his first win as Baggies boss, having drawn three and lost two of his five matches in charge, but insists that his team will not be relegated.

"I don't think West Brom will be relegated - never. It's not possible," the Daily Star quotes Mel as saying. "I always think in a positive way.

"The last match against Chelsea we played very well and now this is the way. We keep the ball and when we lose the ball we quickly regain it.

"The players told me this week that they were pleased to play that way."

The Baggies face Fulham in the Premier League this weekend in a crucial six-pointer at the bottom end of the table.
