West Bromwich Albion are reportedly hoping to recruit Leuven manager Nigel Pearson to take over from Alan Pardew as head coach at the end of the season.

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly earmarked Nigel Pearson as a replacement for Alan Pardew at the end of the season.

The former Leicester City mboss is currently managing in the second tier of Belgian football with Leuven, who are owned by Foxes proprietors King Power.

West Brom, meanwhile, appeared destined for relegation from the Premier League, with Pardew claiming just one win from 17 league games since taking over in November.

According to the Birmingham Mail, the Baggies hierarchy is hoping that Pearson can take the reins and guide WBA out of the Championship next season, just like he did with Leicester in 2014.

West Brom are 10 points adrift at the bottom of the table with seven matches to play, and have lost each of their last seven league games.
