Chris Coleman unfazed by Wales style

Chris Coleman says that he does not care if his Wales team play negative football, providing the end justifies the means.

Wales manager Chris Coleman has said that he is more than happy to sacrifice an attractive style of play if it means winning more points.

Coleman's side battled to a 0-0 draw away to Group B favourites Belgium in a Euro 2016 qualifier in Brussels this evening - a second clean sheet for the unbeaten Dragons.

The 44-year-old says that a failed World Cup qualifying campaign last time out has hardened his troops to the realities of international football.

"It wasn't pretty at times but who cares? It's about points," he told Sky Sports News.

"We learnt from the last campaign where we played some much better football, we had a lot of chances, we kept getting beat too much. [It was] too easy when we didn't have the ball but we're a much tougher outfit now.

"That's two clean sheets in four games. Two clean sheets against the two top teams, Bosnia and Belgium, so we're on the right path, that's for sure."

The Welsh now sit second in the group behind Israel as optimism continues to grow over a first major tournament berth in 38 years.
