Valencia midfielder Andres Guardado could reportedly join Bayer Leverkusen before the end of the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old has made 16 appearances for the La Liga outfit this season, but it is believed that he is keen to seek pastures new.

According to ESPN, negotiations have started between Los Che and the German outfit, with a transfer expected to be completed by the end of the week.

The Mexican, who has made 99 appearances for his country, started his career at Atlas, before moving to Deportivo La Coruna in 2007 and to Valencia five years later.
