Jose Gaya 'agrees new Valencia deal'

Spanish defender Jose Gaya turns down interest from Atletico Madrid and Juventus to sign a new long-term contract with Valencia, according to a report.

Valencia defender Jose Gaya has reportedly turned down interest from Atletico Madrid and Juventus to sign a new long-term contract with Los Che.

Gaya, who has previously been strongly linked with Manchester United, has made 35 appearances for Valencia in all competitions during the 2017-18 campaign.

According to Cope Valencia, Atletico and Juventus were both preparing moves for Gaya this summer, but the 22-year-old has agreed a new five-year contract at the Mestalla, which will run until the summer of 2023.

The report claims that an announcement from the club, who have all but secured a top-four place in La Liga this season, is imminent.

Gaya has made over 100 appearances for Valencia since breaking into the first team in 2012.
