Good morning, and welcome to Sports Mole's live transfer blog for Friday, August 1.

As ever, a number of reports have emerged overnight regarding the potential moves of several players, a few of which have been listed for your convenience below.

Koeman: 'Schneiderlin will not be sold'

Mourinho casts doubt on Cech future

Wenger, Vermaelen to undergo talks?

Ochoa makes Malaga move

The first bit of transfer news that I will bring you this morning is regarding Crewe Alexandra striker Max Clayton. The 19-year-old will spend the next seven days on trial at Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of a potential move to Molineux.

Hamburger SV midfielder Rafael van der Vaart enjoyed a superb spell during his time in England with Tottenham Hotspur and the Netherlands international could potentially move back to the Premier League with Queens Park Rangers. The 31-year-old has been speaking about his relationship with Harry Redknapp as reports continue to link him with a move to Loftus Road.

Striker Leon Best has endured a disappointing two years at Blackburn Rovers, but it appears as though he could be bringing his time at Ewood Park to an end. The 27-year-old is reportedly in talks with Derby County regarding a loan move to last season's Championship playoff runners-up.

The future of Arsenal winger Joel Campbell has been a constant feature on the back pages since his contribution to Costa Rica's run to the World Cup quarter-finals. However, it appears as though the 22-year-old is keen to bring an end to much of the speculation by revealing that he wants to remain in the Premier League for the upcoming campaign. AC Milan and Galatasaray had been linked with his signature.

Some news for Tottenham Hotspur fans now, and it's likely to be seen in a positive light. Winger Iago Falque, who has only made a handful of appearances for Spurs in three years, has signed for Genoa for £4m. Daniel Levy's at it again...that's a great deal for the North London outfit.

It's been a summer of woe for Blackpool so far, but the signs are there that it could be improving. If a work permit can be obtained, the Seasiders will sign midfielder Jose Miguel Cubero, who played four games for Costa Rica at the World Cup finals.

While they fight to keep hold of defender Ron Vlaar, reports have suggested that Aston Villa could make a bid for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Danny Batth. However, the Championship side have been quick to state that the centre-back is not for sale.

Yesterday evening, Tottenham Hotspur announced that they had agreed a five-year deal for defender Eric Dier. However, it doesn't appear that the England Under-21 international's former club Sporting Lisbon are very happy. They have claimed that their hands were tied as they attempted to keep the centre-back in Portugal.

Need a recap of all of the transfer news from this morning? Look no further than our round-up, which you can view by clicking here.

Swansea City recently allowed Ben Davies to join Tottenham Hotspur, but it now appears that manager Garry Monk could be targeting a Spurs full-back as his replacement. The Swans boss has revealed that he is considering a bid for Kyle Naughton.

BREAKING NEWS! Crystal Palace have announced that they have signed former Fulham defender Brede Hangeland on a one-year deal. That could prove to be an astute big of business by Tony Pulis.

DONE DEAL! Fulham have announced that they have signed Bulgarian centre-back Nikolay Bodurov on a three-year deal. The 28-year-old is likely to be seen as a direct replacement for Hangeland.

Staying in the Football League, it looks like Nottingham Forest striker Darius Henderson is ready to drop down a division to sign a deal with Leyton Orient.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is currently speaking to the media ahead of this weekend's Emirates Cup and while he was in the process of revealing that defender Thomas Vermaelen would miss the four-team tournament, the Frenchman admitted that the Belgian could leave the club during the summer.

That will be all from me for today, but I will now hand you over to my colleague Sian Cowper, who will take you through the next four hours.

Thank you Darren! If you've been following the transfer news all week, you'll probably know that former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o was linked with a move to West Ham. Well, according to the latest reports, the Cameroon international asked the club for too much money, so they have ended their interest in him.

Another player heading away from Chelsea is 19-year-old midfielder, albeit only on a temporary basis. The club have announced that Swift will spend the 2014-15 season on loan with Rotherham United.

Aston Villa defender Ron Vlaar has been attracting plenty of attention in recent weeks, having been part of the Netherlands side that clinched third place at the World Cup earlier this summer. The latest club to be linked with the 29-year-old are the Italian champions, Juventus.

Everton have already signed one player fro Chelsea this week, breaking their transfer record to bring in Romelu Lukaku on a permanent deal. Now they're said to be on the verge of bringing in another from Stamford Bridge, having reportedly progressed talks over a loan for winger Christian Atsu.

Newcastle United have already been busy during this transfer window, signing six players so far, but manager Alan Pardew has confirmed that they are not done yet, as they're hoping to sign Shakhtar Donetsk striker Facundo Ferreyra on loan. The 23-year-old is looking to leave the club because of the ongoing political unrest in Ukraine.

Blackpool have been struggling to get a full squad together ready for the start of the Championship season next week, but they've added a defender this afternoon, bringing in West Bromwich Albion academy product Donervon Daniels on a 28-day loan.

Over in Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt have added to their strikeforce, bringing in Switzerland international Haris Seferovic on a three-year contract from Real Sociedad.

Well it's proving to be quite a busy afternoon! Doncaster Rovers have signed goalkeeper Jed Steer on a three-month loan from Aston Villa, while Middlesbrough will be adding Emilio Nsue from Mallorca subject to international clearance.

If you're just joining us this evening, save yourself some time catching up on this afternoon's news by reading our 7pm Transfer Talk update.

Having been released by Fulham, defender Matthew Briggs has signed a one-year contract with their London rivals Millwall.

Another player with an uncertain future is Sunderland striker Connor Wickham. He's got one year left on his current deal and has been offered an extension, but manager Gus Poyet says that the club will have to let him go if he does not sign his new contract soon.

There's potentially some huge news for Manchester City fans this evening, as reports suggest that the club are trying to bring in former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard on loan from their MLS franchise New York City FC on loan in time for the start of the Premier League season in a couple of weeks. Lampard previously said that he did not want to join another Premier League side after leaving Chelsea.

Sticking with the Premier League champions, chief executive Ferran Soriano says that the club will be looking to bring in a central defender before the transfer window closes.

Southampton haven't had the best transfer window to date, losing five players to Premier League rivals, with more being linked to the exits. However, there's potentially good news for Saints fans this evening, as the club have reportedly made a bid for Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo.

Queens Park Rangers are looking to add to their squad as they prepare for their return to the Premier League. The latest reports suggest that the Hoops have opened talks with Serie A side Juventus over a loan for Mauricio Isla.

Fleetwood Town will compete in League One for the first time in the 2014-15 season, and have added a veteran defender to their squad. Former Wigan Athletic defender Stephen Crainey has signed a one-year contract with the Cod Army.

Costa Rica international Keylor Navas has been attracting interest from a number of top clubs following his performances at this summer's World Cup. The latest club to be linked with the Levante stopper are Real Madrid, who are reportedly looking to Navas as a replacement for Diego Lopez, who is expected to join Monaco.

Manchester City striker John Guidetti is also being linked with several clubs, including Feyenoord, where he previously spent a loan spell. The Eredivisie side have confirmed that he is on their list of targets this summer.

There's been quite a bit of speculation surrounding Queens Park Rangers today, and there's more! A report this evening has claimed that the Hoops have made a £5m bid for Cardiff City midfielder Jordan Mutch.

Well that's all from me tonight, but stick around for the next three hours as Alex Meyers will be here to keep you up to date with the latest transfer gossip.

Thanks Sian. I will start with the news that Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly opened talks with Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio. The 23-year-old has been at the Spanish outfit for the past five seasons and it is believed that his club value him at £21m.

Manchester United are reportedly planning to offer Fiorentina £31m to land midfielder Juan Cuadrado. The Colombian has been linked with a number of clubs, after his standout performances in Serie A last season and his impressive displays at the World Cup.

Roma are reportedly on the verge of signing Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o. It is believed that he is due to arrive in Italy this weekend to finalise a move to the club.

Norwich City manager Neil Adams has revealed that Ricky van Wolfswinkel is close to sealing a move to Saint-Etienne. The 25-year-old endured a torrid debut season at the Canaries and found the back of the net just once as the club suffered relegation from the Premier League.

Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a move for Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen. The 28-year-old has struggled for first-team football and Arsene Wenger has admitted that he could leave this summer.

That's all we've got time for from today's live transfer coverage. You can still keep up to date with all of the latest news on the site throughout the evening, before we return with the blog tomorrow. Until then, goodbye!
