Morning everyone! There are just under three weeks left to go until the summer transfer window slams shut, so, what will today bring? Let's start off with some of the stories making the headlines in the last few hours...

Everton manager Roberto Martinez confirmed yesterday that Chelsea winger Christian Atsu has agreed to move to the Goodison Park on a season-long loan. The Spaniard has been speaking again today and has revealed that the Ghana international is expected to finalise the transfer by tomorrow.

This may not be transfer news as such, but it is transfer-related! Sunderland head coach Gus Poyet has brought up the long-running debate about the timing of transfer windows. The Uruguayan believes that summer business should be completed before the season begins. Do you agree?

Let's switch to the Bundesliga for a moment. Xherdan Shaqiri believes that he will be staying put at Bayern Munich despite being linked to Liverpool, Monaco and Juventus over the last couple of months.

Hi guys, Matt Law here to lead you through the next three hours. Will today be the day that Manchester United really make their mark in this summer's transfer window? Coming up we have some news from Arsenal and a certain Cavani.

Listen up Arsenal fans. Your club are reportedly preparing a £51m move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani.

Sunderland have reportedly agreed a £2.5m for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Will Buckley, according to Sky Sports News.

Celta Vigo forward Nolito has been linked with a move to Everton in recent days, but the Spaniard has quelled talk of a transfer. It is expected to be a busy last couple of weeks of this window!

Hamburger SV chairman Dietmar Beiersdorfer has denied reports that Rafael van der Vaart could depart the German outfit this summer. Queens Park Rangers have been strongly linked with a move for the 31-year-old, who played under R's boss Harry Redknapp at Tottenham Hotspur. However, Beiersdorfer told reporters in Germany that he is "counting" on the Dutchman this season.

Arsenal are reportedly preparing an £8m move for Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote. The Ivorian was the subject of interest from a number of clubs last summer, with the Magpies believed to be quoting £30m for the central midfielder. However, Tiote struggled with injuries last season and as a result, his transfer value has now dipped.

Barcelona are reportedly preparing a surprise move for USA international Fabian Johnson. The 26-year-old moved from Hoffenheim to Borussia Monchengladbach this summer, with that transfer confirmed before the start of the World Cup in Brazil. However, it is understood that the Catalan outfit are preparing to test Gladbach's resolve with an offer.

Back to the Premier League and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly renewed their interest in Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin. Spurs were strongly linked with the Colombian earlier in the summer, but talk went cold when the two clubs could not agree a transfer fee. According to Tuttosport, the Premier League club are still interested in signing the powerful midfielder and have offered £9.5m for his services.

West Ham United have reportedly ended their short pursuit of Sunderland striker Connor Wickham. The Hammers reportedly made a £4m offer for the England Under-21 international earlier this week, with Sunderland immediately rejecting the interest. It had been reported that the London outfit would return with an improved bid, but according to Sky Sports News, West Ham have now ended their interest after learning of Sunderland's stance.

Staying in the Premier League, where Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly made wingers Andros Townsend and Aaron Lennon available for transfer this summer.

Hello there! Let's start things off by focusing on Manchester United. Former Red Devils defender Mikael Silvestre believes that Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal and Real Madrid's Angel di Maria would "lift United". Both players have been linked with moves to Old Trafford this summer, with the club reportedly confident of securing deals for the pair before the end of the window.

West Ham United have reportedly ended their short pursuit of Sunderland striker Connor Wickham. The Hammers reportedly made a £4m offer for the England Under-21 international earlier this week, with Sunderland immediately rejecting the interest.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly hours away from announcing the signing of Club America forward Raul Jimenez on a long-term contract. The 23-year-old, who travelled with the Mexico squad to this summer's World Cup, has been strongly linked with a move to Madrid over the last couple of weeks.

Experienced goalkeeper Artur Boruc will reportedly leave Southampton this summer. Boruc was the club's first-choice stopper last season, but new boss Ronald Koeman has confirmed that summer signing Fraser Forster will be the number one in the new campaign.

DONE DEAL! Leeds United have confirmed the signing of striker Billy Sharp from Southampton. The experienced forward, 28, arrives at the Championship club on a two-year contract.

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has insisted that he is not in the market for Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus this summer. The German has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga champions for some time, but Guardiola has said that he is content with his attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

BREAKING! Good news for Manchester City because captain Vincent Kompany has signed a new five-year deal with the Premier League champions. You can read more about that story here.

Derby County boss Steve McClaren has backed Leon Best to be a success at the club this season. The 27-year-old striker recently joined the Rams from Blackburn Rovers on a year-long loan deal.

Colin Kazim-Richards is reportedly close to joining Feyenoord on loan. The 27-year-old, who is currently contracted to Turkish outfit Bursaspor, has had nine different clubs during a well-travelled playing career.

Mathieu Debuchy has revealed that it was an easy decision to join Arsenal from Newcastle United earlier this summer. The French defender moved to the Emirates Stadium last month following a brief spell with the Magpies.

DONE DEAL! Goalkeeper Diego Lopez has completed his move from Real Madrid to AC Milan. The 32-year-old, who has been Madrid's first-choice shotstopper for the past two seasons, recently agreed personal terms with the Italian club.

To Spain, where veteran Real Betis forward Ruben Castro has signed a new contract with the club.

Hull City are reportedly interested in Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck. It is believed that Steve Bruce wants to bring in a replacement for Shane Long, who is expected to sign for Southampton, but he will have to pay a club-record £14m to land Welbeck.

DONE DEAL! Udinese have confirmed the signing of Greek international Panagiotis Kone. He had spent the past three seasons at Bologna, but was widely expected to leave following the club's relegation.



Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Palermo striker Abel Hernandez. The Magpies are believed to have made an offer of £8m for the Uruguayan international, but his club are holding out for £12m.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly in talks with Chelsea over the transfer of German international Andre Schurrle. The 23-year-old only joined the Blues last summer, but he has struggled for a regular starting spot.

Arsenal are reportedly planning a move for Cameroon international Stephane Mbia. The 28-year-old is available on a free transfer following his release by Queens Park Rangers and it has been claimed the Arsene Wenger sees him as a cheaper alternative to Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.

Napoli defender Federico Fernandez is reportedly on the verge of joining Swansea City. He is expected to cost the Welsh outfit £7m and he could complete a medical on Friday.
