Stoke City's Peter Crouch has no plans to retire

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch feels that he can continue to play at a high level for the foreseeable future after playing his 600th career game.

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has insisted that he has no plans to retire in the near future after making his 600th career appearance.

The 33-year-old marked the occasion by finding the net to earn the Potters a point in their Premier League match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Crouch has insisted that he can still go on playing at the highest level for the foreseeable future, even though his contract with Mark Hughes's team expires at the end of the season.

"I don't feel any different," Crouch told reporters. "I genuinely believe I can go on for a long, long time. I'm enjoying playing every day, lucky to do something I love doing.

"And I feel the same as I did five or six years ago playing for Liverpool in the Champions League. If I can continue the way I feel now, then I'll go on for a number of years yet."

The striker has scored five goals in 17 appearances for Stoke in all competitions this season.
