Tottenham Hotspur register an interest in former West Ham United striker Carlton Cole, according to reports.

Former West Ham United striker Carlton Cole could be in line for a surprise move to Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.

The 29-year-old has been without a club since he was released by the Hammers at the end of the season.

Cole has since been linked with a move to Saint-Etienne, but according to The Metro, the England international has attracted an interest from Spurs.

It was reported that Cole featured in a behind-closed-doors friendly for the club, but Spurs have denied any suggestion that the former Chelsea man played any part in the game.
