Antonio Conte has reportedly drawn up a six-man transfer shortlist, should he be appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

Following the dismissal of Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday, the former Chelsea boss is understood to have agreed a two-year deal to take the reins at Spurs, snubbing supposed interest from Manchester United.

According to Calciomercato, Conte has requested a transfer budget of €280m (£237.7m) if he is to take over at Tottenham and will look to raid Serie A with six signings in January.

Conte's first two players on his wishlist are Juventus pair Federico Chiesa and Matthijs de Ligt, with the former valued between €80m (£67.9m) and €90m (£76.4m), while the latter is priced in the region of €70m (£59.4m).

The 52-year-old is also prepared to poach two players from his former club Inter Milan in the form of defender Stefan de Vrij, who could cost €30m (£25.5m), and midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, who is out of contract next summer.

AC Milan centre-back Alessio Romagnoli is another believed to be on Conte's six-man shortlist and could be available for as little as €10m (£8.5m) in January, as his contract expires in June 2022, while Fiorentina's in-demand striker Dusan Vlahovic is also admired by the Italian, with La Viola prepared to sell the 21-year-old for £76.5m (€90m) in the winter window.

Conte is expected to fly to London imminently before holding further talks with Tottenham's hierarchy and finalising his potential return to the Premier League.
