Mauricio Pochettino urges Tottenham to maintain "level" following Chelsea rout

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino wants his players to maintain the "level" that helped them beat Chelsea 5-3 when they take on Crystal Palace tomorrow.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino wants his players to maintain the "level" and intensity that resulted in a 5-3 victory over Premier League leaders Chelsea on New Year's Day.

The North London outfit shocked Jose Mourinho's side with a thrilling triumph at White Hart Lane, and Pochettino wants more of the same when Spurs take on Crystal Palace tomorrow.

"Why not keep that level in all games?" Pochettino told reporters. "We know it is not easy but if we are capable of that performance against Chelsea we need to keep those performances in the future.

"We are very happy, the 5-3 against Chelsea means more than just one victory. It is a belief in our skill and in our mentality, but now we need to show again against Crystal Palace the same mentality to show we are strong. If not, there is no good thing."

Spurs are fifth in the league table, two points adrift of fourth-placed Southampton.
