Mauricio Pochettino blames fatigue for Crystal Palace draw

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino feels that his side's hectic fixture schedule played a part in their inability to defeat Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettinio has blamed fatigue for his side's inability to beat Crystal Palace in their 0-0 draw in the Premier League.

Spurs had a frustrating afternoon at White Hart Lane as they were unable to beat Julian Speroni, while Neil Warnock's men came close to taking all three points as Jason Puncheon hit the bar with an effort late in match.

Pochettino told BBC Sport: "It wasn't an easy game, Palace played well. We are not very fresh because it was the third game in six days and it's difficult to manage.

"Maybe this game is one where we need to get the three points, but in the end I think the result was fair. We have a lack of freshness but we tried, we tried to win the game."

After a fifth failure to win at home this season, Tottenham are 10th in the Premier League, but only four points adrift of the Champions League places.
