Hugo Lloris pleased with Tottenham Hotspur improvement

Tottenham Hotspur keeper Hugo Lloris says that he is pleased with the strides his side have made in improving themselves since the start of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur keeper Hugo Lloris has admitted that he has been pleased with the gradual improvement of his side from the start of the campaign.

Spurs had a slow start to the season as they failed to win any of their opening four matches, but a 1-0 win over Sunderland kick-started a three-match winning streak to move the club up the table, which also included a 4-1 triumph over Manchester City.

Mauricio Pochettino was rewarded for his side's form in September with the manager of the month award, which Lloris has revealed that the players were delighted to secure for the Argentine.

He told the club's official website: "We can see our improvement. We had a slow start in August and we were a bit frustrated because we weren't rewarded for our performances.

"After that, we had a really good reaction in September and we were all delighted to see the gaffer rewarded with the manager of the month trophy."

Tottenham are sixth in the Premier League ahead of their match against Aston Villa on Monday.
