Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino confirms that Danny Rose and Erik Lamela could return to action within a few weeks.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that injured duo Danny Rose and Erik Lamela could be back in action within a few weeks.

Lamela has been on the sidelines for almost a year with hip problems, while Rose has been out since January after undergoing surgery on his knee.

Both players returned to training with the side this week, however, and now Pochettino has said that they could make their long-awaited returns in early November.

"It is very good for them. It is fantastic because after a long time to be involved in the first team training is so good. I am so happy they are doing well," Pochettino told reporters today.

"They are now in full training sessions with the team. I think in the next few weeks they are close to being available to be selected. They want to be part of the team, help the team and feel like players.

"In the case of Lamela and Danny it is difficult to say when. We need to asses every day after every single training session. It is hard for them because it is difficult in comparison with training alone. If the response is good then maybe in the next few weeks they can be involved and then we can decide when they can be involved in some games."

Pochettino also confirmed that Mousa Dembele is closing in on a return following his recent ankle problems.
