How Tottenham Hotspur could line up with Adama Traore

Sports Mole takes a look at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up with Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has reportedly identified Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore as an ideal transfer target for 2022.

The former Barcelona starlet is yet to register a goal or assist in the 2021-22 Premier League season but continues to be linked with moves to clubs of European calibre.

Traore is yet to commit to a new deal at Molineux beyond 2023 and could supposedly be available for £20m, with Matt Doherty potentially returning to Wolves as part of the deal.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how Spurs could line up with Traore in the side.

Traore has largely been used as an out-and-out winger during his time at Wolves, but that spot in the Spurs lineup is currently occupied by Lucas Moura as he aims to find greater consistency under Conte.

With Emerson Royal struggling to adapt to English football, Conte and Fabio Paratici are supposedly hoping to utilise Traore's explosive qualities in the wing-back role, especially if Doherty does return to Wolves.

Such a move would see Lucas's spot in the forward line safe, despite competition from Bryan Gil, as Harry Kane and Son Heung-min link up with the Brazilian.

Inter Milan's Marcelo Brozovic is reportedly being eyed up as a potential midfield target, but Traore would be joined in the middle by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp for the time being.

Sergio Reguilon has also struggled to cover himself in glory this term, but Ryan Sessegnon's fitness issues means that the Spaniard is safe on the left-hand side for the time being.

One would expect Cristian Romero to slot straight back into the rearguard when fully fit - which spells bad news for Ben Davies - as Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez complete Conte's backline.

Pierluigi Gollini's arrival has not exactly led to greater competition for the gloves, with Hugo Lloris still Tottenham's undisputed number one as the club seek to extend his contract.
