Real Madrid 'eyeing summer move for Rafa Mir'

Real Madrid could move for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Rafa Mir this summer, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a summer move for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Rafa Mir.

The 23-year-old has been contracted to Wolves since 2018 but has only made four first-team appearances for the English club, spending time out on loan with Las Palmas, Nottingham Forest and Huesca.

The Spaniard has impressed during his time with Huesca, scoring nine times in 18 Segunda Division outings last term, while he has netted six La Liga goals in 22 appearances this season.

According to Defensa Central, Madrid view Mir as the ideal signing during this summer's transfer window as he represents a low-cost option during a period where the club are struggling financially.

The report claims that the reigning Spanish champions came close to signing the attacker in 2017, but he ultimately remained with Valencia before moving to England with Wolves.

Mir played the full 90 minutes of Huesca's 2-1 loss to Madrid in La Liga on Saturday.
