Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta says that he would be 'annoyed' if former teammate Neymar ended up at Real Madrid in the future.

Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta has admitted that he would be 'annoyed' if Neymar ended up at Real Madrid.

Neymar left Camp Nou for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer after the French club smashed the world transfer record to sign the forward.

It has been suggested in various quarters that Neymar will ultimately leave PSG for Real Madrid as he looks to sample life at another of the biggest clubs in world football.

Iniesta doubts that his former teammate would end up at the Bernabeu, but concedes that he would be 'annoyed' if the deal were ever to take place.

"Anything can happen in football and I would not rule it out," El Mundo Deportivo quotes Iniesta as saying. "We've seen numerous times how there are situations which seem unlikely or impossible but they end up happening.

"If Neymar was to join Madrid? It would annoy me in the sense that he wins matches and would strengthen a direct rival, but I'm not worried."

Neymar, 25, has scored 15 times in 18 appearances for PSG during the 2017-18 campaign.
